Seminole Hoops League Rules
Playing Time Requirement (All Divisions)
- Every player must play one full period, from beginning to end, in the first half of the game.
- All players must be given the opportunity to play in both halves of the game.
- Alternatively, coaches may split quarters into two shifts. For example, the first five players may play the first 4–5 minutes of a quarter, and the remaining players may play the second 4–5 minutes.
- Coaches may substitute freely in the second half.
- If a player arrives late and is not present in the first half, they may still participate in the second half.
Mercy Rule
- If a team leads by 20 or more points, the game clock will run continuously in the final two minutes of play.
