WHO WE ARE

Seminole Sports Academy is a premier basketball training facility in Longwood, Florida, featuring four full-size courts across two spacious buildings.

We offer programs for athletes ages 5 and up, including group and private training, leagues, club teams, open gyms, tournaments, and Hoop School memberships.

Our USA Basketball-certified coaches focus on fundamentals, skill development, teamwork, confidence, and competitive excellence, helping every athlete grow and reach their full potential on and off the court.

This youth basketball league is fantastic! The coaches go above and beyond to teach the fundamentals while truly focusing on character and leadership.... and fun! My son has built so much confidence on the court and has made incredible friendships. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a positive, supportive team environment!

My son has been taking classes here for the past six months, and he still gets excited every time it's basketball day! The coaches are patient, caring, and truly make every class fun and engaging. We've seen so much growth, not only in his basketball skills but also in his confidence. Highly recommend it to any family looking for a great place for their child to learn and grow!

Seminole sports has been such a great experience for us . My daughter attends there and absolutely loves it . All the coaches do such an amazing job teaching real basketball fundamentals while keeping the kids engaged, confident and having fun . You can really see the improvement in their skills and understanding of the game . They finally got a female coach , Mary is such a phenomenal coach and she trains my daughter , she has learned so much from her . She is also on Josh’s all girls team and he really tries to encourage the girls and has so much patience with them and pushes them to do their best . I really can’t say enough about this place . I highly recommend for any kids who want to learn basketball the right way .

We've been playing with Seminole Hoops for about four years now. I've seen so much improvement in my oldest and now with his younger brother giving it a chance. All the coaches are amazing. From rec leagues to group training sessions and AAU, they have the whole game covered. If you're looking for a place for your kids to have fun but also to really be taught how to play the game, you need to come check them out!

We’ve been part of Seminole Sports Academy for the past two years, and the impact on my son’s basketball development has been incredible. When he started, he was brand new to the game. Today, he’s one of the stronger players in his rec league thanks to the coaching, training, and competitive environment.

What really sets Seminole Sports Academy apart is the coaching staff. Having coaches with basketball experience is important, but these coaches bring much more than knowledge of the game. They work with kids every day and genuinely care about their development. One thing that stands out to me is that every coach is also a parent. Their own sons and daughters train, play, and compete in the program as well. As a parent, that gives me a lot of confidence because they’re investing in their own kids right alongside ours.

I’ve also had the opportunity to volunteer coach, and I’ve seen firsthand how much the staff cares about helping kids improve both on and off the court. Whether your child is a beginner or an experienced player, there’s a place for them here. The academy offers basketball training, leagues, strength and conditioning, and most importantly, a positive community where kids build friendships, confidence, and a love for the game.

We’ve participated in other local programs, including YMCA and i9 Sports, and Seminole Sports Academy provides one of the best overall experiences we’ve found. Highly recommend to any family looking for a place where their child can grow as a player, teammate, and person.

Seminole Sports Academy has been an incredible experience for our family. The coaches truly nurture each child’s talent while helping them develop excellent athletic ability, confidence, discipline, and a real love for the game of basketball.

What stands out most is how they make learning basketball fun for both the kids and the parents. The training is always engaging, challenging, and motivating through well-designed drills, competitive games, and basketball leagues that continuously push the kids to improve.

Beyond skills, they also teach the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and what it really means to be a great team player. You can clearly see the positive growth in the kids both on and off the court. We are so grateful for our son’s homeschool basketball coach. He is truly amazing, attentive, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable about the game.

What stands out most is how much he genuinely cares about each kid, not just as players but as individuals. He takes the time to encourage them, build their confidence, and teach them discipline both on and off the court.

You can tell he loves what he does, and it shows in the way the kids respect him and enjoy learning from him. We feel very lucky to have him as a coach!

My 16 year old has been playing at this gym since before it was owned by Seminole Hoops, and we couldn’t be happier with how it has grown. The coaches are great, highly experienced, and truly invested in the kids. My son looks up to them so much, and it’s been amazing to watch his skills develop under their guidance.

Seminole Hoops has brought in so many opportunities for the kids to grow their game. The added training options and resources have made a huge difference. Watching my son’s growth has been incredible and now seeing his little brother attend trainings too is just as special. It’s unbelievable how much both of them have learned in such a positive, motivating environment.

Beyond basketball, the friendships have been just as meaningful. The kids have made great friends here, and have truly become like family to us

My son’s weekly basketball practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays have really helped improve his skills for game day. He’s more focused, more confident, and genuinely enjoys the game. The coaches are motivating and encouraging, and you can tell they care about the kids’ development. All around, a great experience with Seminole Sports Academy!

If there was an option for more stars, I would choose it without hesitation! Seminole Sports Academy has been an absolute safe haven for my kids. My son has coming here for two years now I can honestly say we are very happy with the dedication my son’s coach is with the team he goes above and beyond. My son loves coming here if he could sleep there he would. I’ve seen so much growth, dedication, discipline he’s extremely focus. Everyone feels like family. All the moms work together.It so nice to see the kids progressing together is the best feeling and of course specially when they are able to make those wins. Also love seeing the new gym floors and improvements that they keep making.
