Sessions 1-6: Designed to establish a consistent heavy ball dribbling routine and to introduce the player to Zoom, 5-Out, and Motion sets. Drills, concepts and film:
ZOOM: A three-player offensive action that combines a down screen with a dribble handoff. It’s essentially a pin down screen followed by a dribble handoff, designed to create space and scoring opportunities for the offensive players. This action is becoming increasingly popular at various levels of basketball.
5- Out: An offensive strategy where all five players on the offensive team position themselves on or outside the three-point line, creating space and driving lanes. It emphasizes spacing, ball movement, and cutting, rather than traditional post play.
Motion: An offensive strategy that emphasizes player and ball movement, rather than relying on set plays or individual matchups. It involves constant cutting, screening, and passing to create scoring opportunities by confusing the defense and exploiting weaknesses.

In essence, the pick and roll is a fundamental offensive play in basketball that relies on teamwork and timing to exploit defensive weaknesses and create scoring opportunities.
